About the role

As Deputy Head, you will play a key role in partnership with the Headteacher, driving school improvement, enhancing the quality of teaching and learning, and ensuring the wellbeing of both staff and students. You will be working closely with the current Headteacher who has overseen the school’s journey from ‘Requires Improvement’ to ‘Good,’ and is willing to support a candidate whose ambition may be to become a Headteacher. Three senior leaders now hold Headship positions.

At Oakridge School, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our students’ lives. We offer a supportive working environment, flexible working if needed, ongoing professional development, and a collaborative team atmosphere.

We are looking forward to welcoming someone to our forward-thinking Leadership Team, who recently won ‘Primary School Leadership Team of the Year,’ in the 2024 Buckinghamshire School Awards.

You will be working with a teaching team who are open-minded, work well together and enjoy improving their knowledge and developing their practice. You may have some experience of developing others.

You will be working with wonderful children, who have excellent behaviour and learning attitudes.

This is a non-class based teaching role.
