About the role

An opportunity has arisen for a Science Technician to support a large and highly successful Science Faculty. You will join our experienced team of 18 teaching and support staff and will play a key role in assisting with lesson preparation and administrative support.

Scientific and chemical knowledge, at least to GCSE is essential. Ideally you will have prior experience working in a technical science support role and/or with young people. Ideally, we would like the successful candidate to have a working knowledge of the Key Stage 3-5 curriculum.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

Maths and English to GCSE grade 5 / C or equivalent
Scientific and chemical knowledge to GCSE grade C/5
Graduate status or equivalent (desirable)

EXPERIENCE

Working with young people (desirable)
Working in a school environment (desirable)
Previous work as a laboratory technician (desirable)

IT competency
Ability to work as part of a team
The ability to work independently and to take direction
Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to foster positive relationships
