Legal Support Officer

Overview
Join our Legal Support Team as a Legal Support Officer and play a key role in delivering an efficient, confidential, and knowledgeable legal support service. You will be responsible for the day-to-day administrative functions of Legal Services, working closely with the Legal Practice Management Team.
As a member of the Legal Support Team, you will have the opportunity to support our legal professionals and undertake a variety of admin support work across multiple legal areas.
This is a secondment/fixed contract opportunity for 12 months to cover maternity leave.

About the role
As a Legal Support Officer, you will assist the service by delivering day to day administrative support. The key accountabilities are:
- To provide a high level of customer service to Legal Services staff, clients and visitors.
- To undertake legal and general administrative support duties.
- To prepare court bundles and paperwork.
- To act as the first point of contact for enquiries to Legal Services including answering telephone calls, emails, written enquiries and greeting visitors.
- To develop key contacts within the client departments and external organisations with whom we work with.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have previous experience of working in an administration role.
As an ‘any-desk’ worker, you’ll need to be connected to our network to access digital folders and resources, but this can either be from home or an office location when required. You will be required to work from the office a couple of times a week, depending on your role and team requirements.
About you
We are looking for someone who is positive, with a flexible, ‘can-do’ attitude and the ability to work, at times, under pressure. The applicant should:
- Be a team player.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Be able to manage and prioritise own workload.
- Have good attention to detail.
- Be ICT literate including the use of Microsoft applications and specialist systems.
Other information
The team is currently working hybrid with three days a week working at home and 2 days a week working in the Walton Street Aylesbury offices. The team has a collaboration day once a month where all team members attend the office and the monthly team meeting is held on this day, in person.
The role is a predominantly office-based role within our Walton Street office however the successful candidate must be willing to travel to the Wycombe office, if required.
