For September 2025, Dr Challoner's Grammar School are seeking a highly qualified full or part time Teacher of Music who has the enthusiasm to motivate students in all aspects of music at this 11-18 grammar school for boys, with a co-educational Sixth Form.

Term time only: No

Salary Type: MPS/UPS

Salary details: MPS/UPS plus Fringe allowance (with the possibility of a TLR 2.3 allowance)

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Full or part time (0.6fte+)

About the role

Music, both curricular and co-curricular, plays a very important part in the life of the school and the successful applicant will have the opportunity to contribute to this further, teaching Music across the school. The opportunity for additional responsibilities, with a Teaching and Learning Responsibility allowance, may be available for a suitably experienced candidate.

About you

You should have a degree level qualification in Music, QTS, experience of teaching Music to at least GCSE level, and a thorough knowledge of the requirements of the National Curriculum and examination requirements.
