About the role

As an Edge of Care Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in delivering support to the families and their children and young people who are at risk of entering the care system. Your work will span various settings, including schools, youth centres, and community outreach.

Your role will involve ensuring that we support children to remain in their families whenever they can, and you will ensure the right support is offered in a timely way to young people and their families. You will bring your knowledge, insight, and experience of engaging with this age group to identify underlying issues and support both capability and resilience within families. You will be passionate and dedicated to bringing about positive change for Children, Young People and Families across Buckinghamshire.

Mobile:

A ‘mobile’ role gives you the flexibility to schedule your own diary, so you can meet with colleagues and clients in a variety of locations. You’ll access digital folders and resources on your laptop and be able to use the network wherever you are based. Working from home will be common, as well as meeting your team in the office where necessary.

About you

We are looking for someone who is experienced in working with complex young people and families. You should have authoritative knowledge of safeguarding processes and issues, and proven skills and experience in working with those who are vulnerable to exploitation, serious violence, or extra-familial harm.

Your ability to carry out assessments, including risk assessments, and develop suitable plans to safeguard children is essential. You should be able to advise and guide young people and their parents, encouraging their development and helping them access services that promote positive engagement in community settings.
