As an MIS Support Officer, you will be an integral part of our ICT Schools Team, providing specialist support and training to school business managers, senior leaders, teachers, and administration staff. Your expertise will cover a range of software modules, including Arbor, SIMS and Bromcom including Core Modules, Personnel, Attendance, Reporting, Assessment and Behaviour modules, as examples.

About the role
As an MIS Support Officer, you will play a crucial role providing guidance and support to School users and ensuring best practice and Dept for Education statutory requirements are met. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Provide timely services to customers, including telephone and remote support
- Responsible for all areas in the suite of software related to Schools MIS; specifically, Arbor, Bromcom & SIMS, but not limited to.
- Deliver training courses on a variety of Management Information Systems (MIS) software, for delivery to schools customers, post holder dependent.
- Collaborate effectively within the team and other services to deliver best practice
- Maintain an awareness of educational developments including government and Local Authority initiatives
- Provide a practical and theoretical understanding to solve problems
Fixed
As a ‘fixed’ worker, you’ll spend most of your time in the same location, which will likely be a fixed office or location where your role is performed. Typically, you’ll be based in the same location as the rest of your team, because you provide a particular service from that fixed location or need access to information there.
About you
We are looking for a proactive individual with a background in Schools MIS. You should have problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of a school's business environment and the roles that Management Information Software play.
Ideally you will have the broad knowledge required from experience of working in a School setting or in a Support Unit environment; such that the degree of knowledge confers a level of authority.
