About us

At Buckinghamshire Council, we are dedicated to delivering top-notch services and solutions to our customers. The Payroll Operations team is a small team of extremely friendly, supportive and accepting individuals from various backgrounds and interests. A work-life balance is highly important to us and we adopt a flexible approach as needed.

We collaborate as a team often, building relationships and proactively share ideas on how to improve our processes to make our day to day run smoothly. Adhering to deadlines means we are well organised and adaptable to various situations, each day is different and there is always something new to learn.

About the role

The role of a HR Operations Officer involves working as part of a busy team to provide effective payroll administration and clerical support to services.

You will be involved in a wide range of tasks required to ensure the service operates effectively and in line with published deadlines and Service Level Agreements.

This includes maintenance of personnel records, production of contracts of employment and payroll documents, liaising with multiple service areas, employees and the wider HR team.

Here is what Amber had to say -I enjoy working within the Payroll Operations Team because everyone within the team is supportive, we work collaboratively, and no question is ever a silly question. Each day brings new challenges, and we tackle these together.

The interesting thing about the role is that no day is the same and it involves diverse tasks like inputting and raising employee contracts one day, processing maternity and paternity leave the next and then delving into in depth queries thereafter.

Any-Desk:
