Business Support Officer – Supporting Public Health

Overview
We are currently recruiting a Business Support Officer who will support the Public Health team in Buckinghamshire. This is an opportunity for someone to step up and join an already established admin team that supports the many ongoing projects in Public Health. This is an exciting role and we are looking for someone with enthusiasm and passion to grow and excel in this area.
This is a secondment/fixed-term contract opportunity up until September 2026. Please note we are looking to appoint at grade 3. Applications for part-time (30) hours will be considered and the salary would be pro-rata.

About the role
As a Business Support Officer, you will provide excellent support to those working in the front-line services supporting our residents.
The key accountabilities are:
- Supporting the team with all admin to include SAP work
- To support in facilitating meetings, taking minutes and engaging with the team in order to be prepared and available at all times
- You will receive support and training from the team to learn and thrive in this role
- Public Health run a variety of projects across Bucks to engage the public in healthier lifestyles
- Business support are instrumental in supporting the PH leads and delivering the highest standard of admin support
- This role will expand your knowledge of how Public Health work in our communities
Any-Desk:
As an ‘any-desk’ worker, you’ll need to be connected to our network to access digital folders and resources, but this can either be from home or an office location when required. You will be required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days a week, and be flexible to team requirements.
About you
We are looking for someone who is organised, a good communicator, a strong minute taker, with good IT skills and an ability to learn new skills. You will need to be reactive as well as proactive and work well in a team.

The team currently work 2 days in the office ideally when required by Public Health, with 3 days working from home. Some flexibility is required when events are running and need admin support on the day.
