We are firmly focused on the future and have made a clear commitment to serve residents better and to provide stronger representation for Buckinghamshire, both locally and nationally.

About the role

As a Brokerage and Placement Officer, you will be responsible for sourcing and arranging a wide range of care services, including residential, nursing, supported living, home care, and day services.

The role will involve:

  • Leading on complex care sourcing and negotiating with providers to secure the best outcomes.
  • Ensuring services are person-centred, timely, and within budget.
  • Collaborating with social workers, health professionals, and providers to meet individual needs.
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
  • Supporting colleagues and contributing to service improvements and strategic planning.
  • Providing the required data to identify gaps in provision
  • In conjunction with the Brokerage Manager, developing Target Pricing and the roll out of CareCubed

You will need to be comfortable working under pressure, managing urgent care placements, and using your market knowledge to influence commissioning decisions.

Any-Desk:

As an ‘any-desk’ worker, you’ll need to be connected to our network to access digital folders and resources, but this can either be from home or an office location when required. You will be required to work from the office a couple of times a week, depending on your role and team requirements.

About you

We are looking for a proactive and compassionate professional with:

  • Substantial experience in a similar role, ideally within health or social care.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and ICT skills.
