This is a 12-month secondment/ fixed-term contract opportunity.

About the role
As a Data Analyst –Labour Market Intelligence, you will:
- Manage large datasets from sources such as the Department for Education, Department for Work and Pensions, ONS, and Lightcast, ensuring secure data storage and use in strategic planning.
- Develop and update the Skills and Employment Strategy 2024-29, incorporating new data to meet devolution readiness and support delivery programs.
- Work closely with small teams on projects like Connect to Work and Skills Bootcamps, engaging stakeholders and representing the service internally and externally.
- Deliver complex work programs, manage systems and policies, produce reports and business cases, and support organizational decision-making.
- Plan short- to long-term strategies, including understanding the skills landscape, developing policies, procuring systems for data management, and analysing provider performance.
- Focus on the Skills Fund Devolution, ensuring that data analysis supports the effective allocation and utilization of funds to enhance skills and employment programs.
Any-Desk:
As an ‘any-desk’ worker, you’ll need to be connected to our network to access digital folders and resources, but this can either be from home or an office location when required. You will be required to work from the office a couple of times a week, depending on your role and team requirements.
About you
We are seeking a highly skilled individual with expertise in labour market data analysis, a solid understanding of the adult education and employability landscapes, and strong IT and communication skills. You must be adept at managing large datasets and contributing to strategic planning, while demonstrating professionalism, ambition, collaboration, trustworthiness, and a solution-focused approach that aligns with our organisational values.
