Salary Type: Bucks pay
Salary details: Bucks Pay Range 4. Actual Salary: £25,679 to £27,568 approx (FTE: £30,361 to £32,594) per annum
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week. 39 weeks per year (Term Time including INSET days)

About the role
As an Assistant Teacher, you will work closely with the class teacher to support lesson planning, evaluation, and the adjustment of work plans to meet pupils’ needs.
You will assist in the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and personal care plans, which may include attending to personal hygiene needs and administering medication.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading whole-class sessions during the teacher’s non-contact time or short-term absence.
• Supporting pupils with a range of special educational and complex needs.
• Contributing to a positive, inclusive, and therapeutic learning environment.

About you
We are looking for candidates with experience working with young people who have a range of special educational and complex needs.
This experience may have been gained in a special school setting or through a similar role.
The ideal candidate will:
• Be confident in liaising with other professionals to implement recommended strategies and interventions.
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Have a good working knowledge of ICT to effectively support learning.
• Show a strong commitment to ongoing training and professional development.
• Possess resilience, common sense, and a collaborative approach to working as part of a team.
