Project Support Officer
Location: Aylesbury
Overview
This is an exciting time to join Buckinghamshire Council’s Adults and Health Directorate. This role will support the delivery of a comprehensive and wide-ranging programme of work including across assurance, staff engagement and the directorate’s improvement programme, by providing effective and efficient project support.
Contract: Secondment/fixed term contract until 10th August 2026 (maternity leave cover)

About the role
The post is based in the Strategy, Improvement and Governance service. We are a small team that supports the Adults and Health Directorate. The post holder will need to show initiative in their work to deliver on corporate and directorate priorities, developing and maintaining excellent relationships with officers, managers and project leads at all levels within the service and across partner organisations where appropriate.
The role is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to make a real contribution to the service and to make a difference for our residents.
Key activities will include:
- Project support
- Analysis and interpretation of information.
- Creation of documents, reports and other materials as required.
- Organisation and management of staff conferences, meetings, and other events.
- Support the development, delivery, and evaluation of improvements in processes and procedures.
Any-Desk:
As an ‘any-desk’ worker, you’ll need to be connected to our network to access digital folders and resources, but this can either be from home or an office location when required. You will be required to work from the office a couple of times a week, depending on your role and team requirements.

We are looking for a motivated, ambitious, and inspiring person to join us on our journey. You be an integral part of the Strategy, Improvement, and Governance team during a period of significant change in Health and Social Care.
