From January 2026 we are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join our team at Elangeni School.

This permanent post is for 30 hours per week, term time only (38 weeks) working 6 hours per day from 8.30am to 3pm.

Salary type: Bucks Pay

Salary Details: Range 2 ISN 11-15. Actual Salary Pro-rated - Full-time equivalent £25,625 - £27,770, depending on experience.

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Part-time

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic experienced Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. Our successful candidate will work closely with our teachers and other classroom-based support staff to support pupils' learning across a range of subjects and age groups, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning and delivery of learning activities.
• Support individual pupils and small groups, including those with special educational needs.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive interactions.
• Prepare learning materials and resources.
• Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress.
• Supervise pupils during break times and school trips as required.

About you

Our successful applicant must have:

• Experience working with children in an educational setting (essential.)
• A caring and patient approach.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• A good level of English and Maths skills are essential.
