We are looking for a cleaner for 15 hours per week. Potential start Pro Rata (15 hours/week), term-time plus one week over Easter and two weeks during the summer holidays as directed by the Site Manager.

Normal Working Hours: 15.00-18.00 hrs Monday to Friday.

Term time only

Salary type: Bucks Pay

Salary Details: 12.33 per hour Pay Range 1A point 5

Contract type: Permanent

About the role

The site team look after all aspects of the maintenance, cleaning and caretaking tasks of this busy and successful school. This role reports to the Site Manager. The main duties and responsibilities are shown below:

• Ensure that the school is clean, hygienic and welcoming for our staff, pupils and visitors.
• Cleaning the school, including classrooms, corridors, offices and toilets to a high standard.
• You will be carrying out duties including vacuuming, dusting and cleaning of floors, washroom areas, tables, chairs and paintwork etc.
• A good understanding of cleaning chemicals and equipment as well as health and safety best practice would be desirable.
• Ensure that a high level of cleanliness is maintained throughout the school on a daily basis.
• Ensure that the school is a safe place to work in and visit.
• Escalating any issues or risks to the Site Manager.
• No previous experience is necessary but it is essential that the successful candidate has a caring nature, is patient and flexible.

About you

You will set and deliver high standards and have good attention to detail. You will have a good working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, be experienced in carrying out routine cleaning and be able to prioritise. You will be punctual and take responsibility to escalate potential issues and risks.

You should be able to follow direction, but will also need to work on your own initiative and with discretion.
