We currently have two positions available:

1x permanent post

1x Secondment/Fixed Term contract to cover maternity leave for 12 months.

About the role

As the Talent Organisational Development & Learning Lead, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering organisational development, career development projects, and learning strategies. ​ You will lead initiatives to grow internal talent, support colleagues in fulfilling their potential, and ensure the organisation is equipped to meet future challenges. ​

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading talent development projects and providing expert advice on learning and development strategies. ​
  • Managing corporate learning and development platforms to ensure effective and engaging training delivery. ​
  • Designing and facilitating learning interventions, workshops, and career development sessions. ​
  • Advising on strategic matters in complex situations, including change management and organisational development. ​
  • Developing and promoting high-quality learning strategies tailored to the organisation’s evolving needs. ​
  • Managing and evaluating data to measure the effectiveness of learning initiatives and making evidence-based recommendations. ​
  • Line managing a team of talent development colleagues, including performance management and career development. ​
  • Collaborating across the HR service to enhance talent, engagement, and retention strategies.

Any-Desk:

As an ‘any-desk’ worker, you’ll need to be connected to our network to access digital folders and resources, but this can either be from home or an office location when required. You will be required to work from the office a couple of times a week, depending on your role and team requirements.

About you

We are looking for a motivated and experienced professional with:

  • Proven OD/HR experience within a large, complex organisation. ​
  • Experience of providing professional advice and support in complex situations
  • Excellent influencing, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders. ​
  • Strategic awareness, problem-solving abilities, and a creative approach to delivering solutions. ​
  • Authority and credibility to build relationships and represent the service at senior levels. ​
  • A degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience (essential). ​
  • A professional qualification in a relevant area such as CIM, CIPD, or CIPFA (desirable). ​

Resources cover a wide range of specialisms, including Human Resources, Finance, ICT and Business Operations.
