Overview

We’re looking for a creative and strategic Talent Engagement Consultant to join our HR & OD Talent Team. This is an exciting opportunity to shape our employer brand and deliver innovative attraction campaigns that help us recruit top talent and future leaders.

This is a 3 month secondment/ Fixed- term contract opportunity.

About the role

As a Talent Engagement Consultant, you’ll play a key role in attracting and engaging top talent through creative and data-driven strategies. You’ll lead multi-channel campaigns, enhance our employer brand, and work closely with stakeholders to deliver measurable results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement innovative talent attraction and engagement strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Plan and deliver multi-channel recruitment campaigns, including social media, careers website, and advertising.
  • Create authentic messaging informed by research, focus groups, and interviews.
  • Manage and update careers pages, LinkedIn, and other social platforms.
  • Produce engaging content including copywriting, video creation, and integrated content calendars.
  • Use data and insights to evaluate campaign success and ensure ROI.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to amplify reach and effectiveness.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activity through horizon scanning.
  • Represent the council at internal and external career and recruitment events.

Any-Desk:

As an ‘any-desk’ worker, you’ll need to be connected to our network to access digital folders and resources, but this can either be from home or an office location when required. You will be required to work from the office a couple of times a week, depending on your role and team requirements.

About you

  • Proven experience and success in a similar work environment.
  • Strong knowledge of employer branding, social media, and recruitment marketing.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Agility and resilience to manage changing priorities
  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
