Policy and Reward Co-Ordinator

In this position, you’ll support the Reward and Policy Team by driving the job evaluation process, conducting insightful policy research, assisting with reward-related projects, delivering essential administrative support, and handling customer queries to ensure timely and accurate responses.

This is a permanent part time position, working 18.5 hours per week and the salary advertised will be pro-rata for part time.

About the role
As a Policy and Reward Co‑ordinator, you’ll support our Reward & Policy team across job evaluation, policy research, reward projects and administrative delivery—contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and customer‑focused solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Job evaluation operations: Provide clear, relevant guidance on procedures and methodology; set up panels; distribute job summaries; set deadlines; and ensure evaluations are completed on time.
- Data & systems: Maintain job evaluation records and information (including ServiceNow and Content Server); collate, process and interpret data to produce meaningful insights; highlight issues needing investigation.
- Policy & reward support: Conduct HR research and analysis; assist with reward projects; manage and update HR policy pages on Bucks Net and Schools Web; promote employee benefit schemes through internal comms.
- Customer service & collaboration: Drive a customer‑centric ethos; take full ownership of assigned cases; work with HR & OD colleagues to provide technical advice and support within projects/processes; escalate complex issues appropriately and promptly.
- Continuous development: Take ownership of your professional development, wellbeing and resilience to meet evolving service needs; undertake other duties aligned to your skills and experience as required.
Any-Desk:
As an ‘any-desk’ worker, you’ll need to be connected to our network to access digital folders and resources, but this can either be from home or an office location when required. You will be required to work from the office a couple of times a week, depending on your role and team requirements.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Good understanding of HR processes, systems, policies, and procedures, alongside generalist HR experience.
- Strong ICT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) and HR systems.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to non-specialists.
- Strong planning and organisational skills to manage priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
- Good level of numeracy and attention to detail, with the ability to analyse data and provide meaningful insights.
