About us

Buckinghamshire Council is a relatively new organisation that combines the strengths and expertise of the previous five councils in the county to create positive change for local people, communities, and businesses. We are firmly focused on the future and have made a clear commitment to serve residents better and to provide stronger representation for Buckinghamshire, both locally and nationally.

About the role

As a Digital Enforcement Officer, you’ll be at the forefront of enforcing parking, bus lane, and moving traffic contraventions across the county. Using mobile enforcement vehicles and CCTV technology, you’ll review and process contraventions, issue Penalty Charge Notices, and maintain accurate records in line with legislation and council procedures.

Your duties will include:

  • Monitoring and enforcing traffic and parking restrictions using digital systems.
  • Reviewing and assessing CCTV footage for contraventions.
  • Reporting faults and liaising with contractors to maintain enforcement equipment.
  • Working shifts across a seven-day rota, including weekends and occasional evenings.

This is a dynamic, public-facing role where professionalism and excellent customer service are key.

On-the-go:
Our ‘on-the-go’ roles mean you’ll usually start and finish your day from a base, moving around between different locations throughout the day. You won’t need a fixed desk to work from, but you’ll have access to our network where you can keep up to date with admin and the latest staff updates.

About you

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in enforcement or a similar field, with knowledge of traffic and parking legislation.
  • Skilled in using technology and able to process data accurately.
  • A strong communicator with good customer care skills and the ability to resolve conflict.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible to work a rota system, including weekends and evenings.

Essential requirements:

  • CCTV Traffic Enforcement qualification (BTEC Level 3) or equivalent experience.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.

If you’re proud, ambitious, collaborative, trustworthy and want to help us deliver a high-quality service for our communities, we’d love to hear from you.
