These roles sit within a busy, fast‑paced service that delivers essential administrative and transactional support across the organisation.

As Business Support Officers, you will play a key part in helping our frontline and operational teams deliver high‑quality services to residents, clients and internal stakeholders. You will take pride in providing efficient, accurate and customer‑focused support that keeps our services running smoothly.

  • Part Time 22 hours – based in Aylesbury (Permanent Contracts). Supporting Corporate Business Support at a Grade 3 on Buckinghamshire Pay Grade.

About the role

Our Business Support Officers provide effective and efficient administrative support to operational teams, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and to a high standard. You will work flexibly as part of a wider team, contributing to the delivery of seamless business support across the service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining diaries and scheduling using electronic systems.
  • Managing incoming correspondence, emails and telephone queries, ensuring timely responses.
  • Arranging and attending meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes and distributing papers.
  • Developing and maintaining efficient office systems.
  • Gathering, collating and following up on information as required.
  • Completing and processing paperwork using both manual and computerised systems.
  • Supporting general office services including post distribution, stationery ordering and information circulation.
  • Upholding organisational values by performing to a high standard, working collaboratively and contributing to service improvement.

About you

  • Possesses good communication skills and accurate attention to detail.
  • Knowledge and experience of taking meeting minutes.
  • Educated to GCSE / NVQ2 standard or equivalent, including in English and Maths.
  • Keen to learn and able to juggle priorities effectively, often with conflicting demands.
  • Caring and helpful and able to work as part of a team.
  • Customer focused and has a can-do attitude.

Working arrangements: This is a role that operates within Work Smart parameters and is a 40/60 minimum split for office to home working, and you may be expected to cover the office more than this split if business need demands it. These are any desk posts.
