We are looking for an inspirational KS1 Class Teacher who brings learning to life and creates a classroom where every child feels valued, confident, and excited to achieve their best. We are looking for a start date from April 2026.

About the role

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Establishing a safe and stimulating environment for pupils, rooted in mutual respect
  • Setting goals that stretch and challenge pupils of all backgrounds, abilities and dispositions
  • Demonstrating consistently the positive attitudes, values and behaviour which are expected of pupils
  • Being accountable for pupils’ attainment, progress and outcomes
  • Adapting teaching to respond to strengths and needs of pupils
  • Being aware of pupils’ capabilities and prior knowledge, and planning teaching to build on these
  • Having a secure knowledge of the relevant subjects and curriculum areas, fostering and maintaining pupils’ interest in the subject, and addressing misunderstandings

  • Is an experienced & passionate classroom practitioner
  • Has an excellent understanding of curriculum & the skills to create stimulating learning opportunities
  • Has high expectations of pupils' learning, achievement and behaviour
  • Is an enthusiastic team player with excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of effective intervention strategies to improve the quality of teaching and learning
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Be enthusiastic and positive
