About the role

You will primarily be based in the front office at the school's Hampden Road site, and you will be the first point of contact for all visitors, face-to-face enquiries and incoming phone calls to the Hampden Road building.

Administrative duties will also include following up daily pupil attendance issues and preparing out-going communications to parents, along with general administrative support for teachers and senior staff.

The role is part time, and part of a job share with an existing member of staff. Normal working hours would be 8:15am to 4:15pm every Thursday and Friday, plus alternating Wednesdays during school term time.

About you

You need to have great communication skills, both face-to-face and on the telephone, good IT skills, and be able to work flexibly as part of a small and friendly team.

Previous experience in a busy 'customer' facing office environment is essential and previous knowledge of working in school administration would be desirable.

You need to be able to manage a hectic workload at times, so being organised and being able to stay clam under pressure is an essential quality for the successful candidate.
