About us
Buckinghamshire is an ambitious, rapidly growing county, and our economy is one of the strongest in the country. It is an area of outstanding natural beauty and ranks as one of the top rural areas to live in the UK and yet it is incredibly well connected– only an hour from London on the train. The county has a rich history and heritage and is the birthplace of the international Paralympic movement.
We are looking for motivated, ambitious and inspiring people to join us on our journey. You will be entitled to a range of different benefits to make sure you are happy both at work and at home.
About the role
In this rewarding role, you’ll work closely with children, young people and their families in their homes or community settings. You’ll build trusting relationships, assess individual needs, and help families navigate challenges through a whole‑family, strengths‑based approach.
You will:
- Work directly with families to build engagement and support positive change
- Manage a varied caseload, carrying out assessments and planning tailored interventions
- Coordinate with other professionals, sometimes taking the lead in multi‑agency meetings
- Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns appropriately
You’ll also maintain accurate case records, advocate for families, and contribute to a collaborative, supportive working environment.
About you
You’re someone who cares deeply about improving outcomes for children and families. You bring empathy, resilience and professionalism to your work, and you’re confident handling complex situations with care and sound judgement.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Experience working with vulnerable children, young people or families
- The ability to build positive relationships and communicate confidently
- Strong organisational skills to prioritise a busy caseload
- A relevant Level 4 qualification or substantial experience in a similar role
You’ll also need good IT skills, a reflective mindset, and the ability to travel regularly using your own vehicle.
If you’re motivated, compassionate and ready to support families to create safer, stronger futures, we’d love to hear from you.
