The school has progressed immeasurably these last few years. At our last OFSTED inspection in September 2023 we were graded good and with a good SIAMS inspection and Excellent Health and Safety inspection achieved recently that progress is clear to see. Though what we are most proud of is the supportive environment we have created where children feel valued and staff well-being is a strength.

Salary: Bucks Pay Range 1 Point 6-10 FTE: £24,836-£25,823, Pro rata Actual Salary £17,078-17,756

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 30 hours per week (39 weeks per year)

About us

Quainton C of E School is situated to the north of Aylesbury in a beautiful rural locality. It is a Church of England one form entry school for children aged 4 to 11. Situated in the centre of the village, part of the school building dates back to Victorian times with modern additions for the classrooms. As well as grounds which include a field for sport we have the use of an adjoining orchard, allowing for varied outdoor teaching and learning opportunities.

About the role

The Governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic and nurturing Class/SEN Learning Support Assistant to support specific SEN children in their learning. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of building good relationships with SEN children, supporting and relating to them and being able to enthuse and engage them in their learning. They will be able to work confidently and tailor their approach to the SEN needs of children under their supervision. Though the role will focus on specific individuals it will also involve the support of individuals and groups within the class setting. Though not essential, experience of working with children with autism would be desirable.

The successful candidates will aspire to develop professionally and actively engage in training and enriching their knowledge and skills in order to support children’s learning.
