About the role
The SENDCo will provide strategic leadership and operational management of SEND provision across the school, ensuring that pupils with special educational needs and disabilities achieve their full academic, social and emotional potential.
The role is central to the school's commitment to inclusion and quality first teaching, particularly within a context of a higher than average level of SEND.
The successful candidate will have a keen interest in SEND, confident knowledge and application of the SEND Code of Practice, and a proven track record in raising achievement and attainment for pupils with SEND. Our school has a higher-than-average proportion of pupils with SEND, and inclusion is central to our ethos and strategic development.
As SENDCo, you will work closely with pupils, staff, parents, external agencies and governors to coordinate the best possible SEND provision and ensure that every child is supported to thrive.

About you
Applicants must have achieved, or be working towards, the National Professional Qualification for SEND Coordination (NPQSENDCO)/National Award for SEN Coordination.
