Learning Support Assistant - John Hampden Grammar School

Overview
We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to play a key role in supporting our students with special education needs (SEN). You will have a genuine interest in education and ability to foster a positve and inclusive learning experience for students.
Hours: 32.5 hours per week (8.45am -3.45pm), Monday to Friday, 39 weeks per year (term time plus 5 INSET days per year). Flexibility with working hours may be considered for a suitable candidate and discussed at interview.
Salary: Bucks Pay Range 2, currently £26,522 to £28,742 FTE (actual salary for 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks p.a. is in the range £19,757 to £21.411)

About the role
You will play a key role in supporting students with special educational needs, encouraging them in their learning and helping them to grow in confidence and develop key skills to achieve their potential.
The ideal candidate will have some knowledge of special educational needs within the secondary school environment but what we are looking for is a proactive, resilient individual and a strong team player, willing to be flexible and get involved in all aspects of department and school life.
