For September 2026 we are seeking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant to work at this 11-18 selective academy boys school with a co-educational Sixth Form. The position is offered as part time, working up to 20 hours per week, preferable working days being Monday, Thursday and Friday.

About the role

The successful candidate will provide support for students with Special Educational Needs, working with students on a 1 to 1 basis or in a small group outside of the classroom. We particularly wish to provide support for students who have barriers to learning caused by Autistic Spectrum conditions, ADHD and other neurodiverse needs.

About you

You should have excellent written and oral communication skills, be competent in the use of IT, and have some experience of working with young people.

An interest in and/or experience of working with young people with barriers to learning caused by Autistic Spectrum conditions, ADHD and other neurodiverse needs would be an advantage, as would experience of supporting young people as they experience dysregulation.
