Overview
We are a forward-thinking school seeking an experienced and innovative IT Systems and Network Manager to lead our digital infrastructure, cybersecurity and IT support services. Managing a small team (IT Technician and Reprographics Manager), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the school's digital strategy and ensuring our systems are secure, resilient and future-ready.
Salary Details: Bucks Pay 7:36-40 £42,264 - £46,650 per Annum (Eligibility for Bucks Local Government Pension Scheme with 22.1% employer contribution)
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week, year round (5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays)

About the role
The requirements of the role include:
- To lead manage and develop the school's IT infrastructure, systems, cybersecurity and digital strategy, ensuring robust, secure, resilient services that support high quality teaching, learning and operational efficiency.
- To design, procure, implement and maintain IT systems, including cloud services, on-premise infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity tools and end-users devices, aligned with the school's strategic priorities as a stand-alone trust.
- To provide expert technical guidance in the development of digital learning platforms, remote access systems and technology-enhanced learning solutions.
- To oversee the school's reprographics function ensuring efficient service delivery, cost control and income-generation opportunities.

About you
Qualifications
Prince 2 / ITIL 4 certificate (or equivalent)
Safeguarding/online safety training
Cybersecurity qualifications (e.g. NCSC Cyber Essentials)
Experience
Managing IT networks, servers, cloud platforms in an educational or similar environment
Leading IT projects from design to implementation
Managing or supervising staff
Supporting MIS systems (SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom etc.)
Implementing cybersecurity controls and safeguarding technologies
Experience of managing virtualised Microsoft Windows server infrastructure
Experience of configuring network switches including VLANS
Experience of supporting Apple Mac desktop computers
Management of reprographics or print services
Knowledge/skills/abilities
Strong understanding of:
• Network infrastructure
• Cybersecurity best practice
• Cloud identity management
• Back-up disaster recover and business continuity
• Web, VLE and intranet systems
• Knowledge of current ICT industry trends and able to advise on how they may benefit school service delivery
Ability to:
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues
• Communicate effectively with non-technical staff
• Prioritise workloads and manage competing demands
• Train and support staff in IT systems
• Manage and monitor budgets
Personal Qualities:
Proactive, solution-driven and calm under pressure
Strong organisational and leadership skills
