Overview

The Sixth Form is led by the Director of Sixth Form, who is also an Assistant Head, alongside dedicated Heads of Year, and a team of Form Tutors.
The Sixth Form Study Support Leader plays a key role in promoting a positive and productive learning culture within the Sixth Form Centre. The postholder will support students in developing effective independent study routines, provide day-to-day pastoral guidance, and contribute to the wider work of the Sixth Form team in ensuring students are well prepared for their future pathways.

Salary type: Bucks Pay

Salary Details: Range 2, SP11 - SP15 £22,037.50 - £23,882.20 per annum (a pro-rata of £25,625 - £27,770)

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Part-time

Teachers' and leadership salary scales broadly follow the National Pay and Conditions, fully reflecting qualifications, responsibility, experience and performance. The School participates in the Teachers' Pension Scheme. Support staff are paid on the RGS scales, which are closely related to the locally negotiated Buckinghamshire County Council pay range.  For the benefit of support staff, the School participates in the Local Government Pension Scheme.  We are a mutually supportive team and endeavour to ensure that all staff have a healthy work / life balance.

About the role

We are seeking a highly organised, adaptable, and proactive coordinator to join our team on a part-time basis.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Sixth Form team. Additionally, this role includes a vital component, providing one hour of dedicated daily cover for the School Matron.

About you

Knowledge, qualifications and experience 

  • Proven experience in a busy administrative environment, demonstrating strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Calm and professional manner and ability to hold young people to account.
  • Experienced in using digital technology and proficient in MS Office and/or Google Workspace
  • Ability to create and share digital content, communicate and collaborate, and solve problems
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously and proven events organisation experience.
  • Proactive and flexible approach
  • High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential student data.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to liaise effectively with students, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to carry out responsibilities as and when needed, solutions focused with the ability to make sound decisions quickly under pressure.
  • A collaborative and supportive team player to assist the Sixth Form Team effectively.
  • A valid First Aid at Work certificate (or a strong willingness to undertake one-day training immediately)
