Overview
We are looking for an individual to fill a fixed term role to cover maternity leave.
The main responsibilities of the role include investigating and overseeing a claim caseload, up to the point of litigation.
This is a 10 month fixed term post to provide maternity cover.

About the role
The main responsibilities of the role include investigating and overseeing a varied claim caseload (predominantly public liability) received by the Council, up to the point of litigation.
Some of the key requirements for the role include ensuring all records are accurate and handled in accordance with relevant national/internal policies, protocols and guidelines. Investigating claims and establishing if the Council has a defence in law (where there has been no negligence) and ensuring all customers are dealt with in a professional and fair manner. Processing claims (from cradle to grave) in line with documented procedures plus the day-to-day running of a personal caseload of claims.
Any-Desk:
As an ‘any-desk’ worker, you’ll need to be connected to our network to access digital folders and resources, but this can either be from home or an office location when required. You will be required to work from the office a couple of times a week, depending on your role and team requirements.
About you
We are looking for someone who is reliable and able to work in a fast paced, demanding role; the skills to quickly understand our claim processes and manage their own caseload. We are also keen to have an excellent team player with good communication skills.

Interviews will be conducted in person at Walton Street Offices in Aylesbury.
The Insurance Team are based at the Walton Street Offices in Aylesbury.
There is then scope to work from home for 3 out of 5 days. At present mandatory office days are Wednesday and Friday, however there is the requirement to be flexible should the need arise.
