Process Redesign & Continuous Improvement Analyst

Overview
We are looking for two motivated and analytical Process Redesign & Continuous Improvement Analysts to help drive meaningful improvement across the Council. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of services, using data, insight and improvement methodologies to enhance performance, efficiency and customer outcomes.
You will play a key role in diagnosing problems, redesigning processes and supporting teams to embed continuous improvement in their day-to-day work—contributing directly to better services for residents.
About us
Our Strategic Programmes & Improvement Service is a recently relaunched, single, integrated function delivering transformation through two complementary areas: Programmes & Improvement Delivery and Assurance & Improvement Capability. Together, we provide governance, frameworks, capability and delivery support to help the Council achieve its priorities.

About the role
As a Process Redesign & Continuous Improvement Analyst, you will deliver hands-on improvement work across services, supporting them to better understand their challenges and implement practical, sustainable solutions.Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading process analysis and redesign activity, producing high-quality artefacts such as process maps, insights, options and recommendations
- Collecting and analysing data (performance, demand, cost and customer feedback) to identify issues and quantify improvements
- Running structured “as-is” discovery and “to-be” design using Lean and continuous improvement techniques
- Facilitating workshops and engaging stakeholders to co-design better ways of working
- Conducting continuous improvement (CI) deep dives to assess performance, maturity and improvement opportunities
- Supporting services to build CI capability through coaching, tools and practical guidance
- Developing clear, evidence-based recommendations and supporting implementation and handover
- Working alongside programme and project teams within governance frameworks to ensure successful delivery
This role offers a fantastic mix of analytical work, stakeholder engagement and hands-on problem-solving. You will gain exposure to a wide range of services and play a direct role in improving how the organisation works.
About you
We are looking for someone with strong analytical skills, a collaborative approach and a passion for improving services.
You will bring:
- Experience of process improvement, service redesign or business analysis within a complex organisation
- Knowledge of continuous improvement approaches (e.g. Lean, process mapping, root cause analysis)
- Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to translate insight into clear, actionable recommendations
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex information to non-specialists
- Experience of stakeholder engagement, facilitation and influencing outcomes
- Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- A proactive and solution-focused mindset, with the confidence to challenge and improve existing ways of working
You will also be enthusiastic about learning, keen to develop your skills and committed to helping build a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation.

The team work in the office for 40% of the week (2 days for full time), with Tuesdays being a set team office day. Your second day is dependant on your business demands or individual team meeting priorities.
