As a Business Support Administrator, you will be at the heart of service delivery, providing the organisation, coordination and communication support that helps colleagues focus on delivering outcomes for residents.
You will join supportive teams where no two days are the same. From coordinating meetings and managing enquiries to supporting operational teams, updating information and helping processes run efficiently, your work will have a direct impact on the quality and consistency of Council services.

About the role
We are looking for organised and customer-focused administrators to support busy Council services. These roles provide essential administrative, coordination and customer service support, helping teams respond to enquiries, manage incoming work and keep services running smoothly.
Opportunities are available in:
Parking Services
You will handle customer enquiries, triage work received through online forms, emails and calls, and work with colleagues across Parking Services and Enforcement to support effective service delivery.
You will also help maintain website content, support the informal appeals process and build positive relationships with residents, Councillors and other stakeholders.
This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys customer contact, can manage a varied workload and is confident working with colleagues and stakeholders to resolve queries.
Street Scene and Grounds Maintenance
You will provide administrative support to Street Scene and Grounds Maintenance teams, helping frontline services manage enquiries, coordinate incoming work and complete day-to-day administration.
Key duties include handling customer and stakeholder enquiries, triaging work from online forms, emails and calls, maintaining internal communication systems, supporting HR administration and working closely with operational colleagues.
Location and working environment
The Street Scene and Grounds Maintenance role is based at the Council's Aylesbury Depot, Monday to Friday, within a busy operational environment.
About you
We are looking for people who are organised, reliable and confident communicators, with a positive approach to supporting colleagues and customers. You do not need to know everything from day one, but you will need to be proactive, willing to learn and comfortable managing a varied workload.
- Is well organised with strong administrative skills
- Has experience supporting meetings, including note-taking or minute-taking
- Can manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
- Has good communication skills and attention to detail
- Is confident working with a range of colleagues and stakeholders
- Takes a proactive and flexible approach to their work
Experience in an administrative or business support role is essential. Experience in a local authority, programme support, customer service or operational support environment would be beneficial, but the right attitude, attention to detail and ability to work well with others are just as important.
