Operations Coordinator
Location: Beaconsfield
Overview
Are you a confident and compassionate leader with a passion for delivering high-quality care services?
We're looking for an Operations Coordinator to join our Adult Social Care team, supporting the delivery of Home Independence Team services across Buckinghamshire.
This is a dynamic and rewarding role where you'll lead teams, manage resources, and ensure services are safe, responsive, and person-centred. If you're ready to make a real difference in people's lives, we'd love to hear from you.
Please note: This role will require supporting the out-of-hours on-call rota.
About us
The Home Independence Service supports individuals to regain their independence following illness, disability, or a recent stay in hospital.
We work with people in their own homes, identifying any difficulties they may have with self-care or daily living activities. Through goal-based assessments, we work alongside individuals to help them achieve greater independence, utilising technology-enabled care and occupational therapy equipment where appropriate.
Our teams work closely with healthcare professionals, carers, residents and their families to develop tailored support arrangements that enhance independence and meet individual needs. We provide advice on specialist equipment, monitor progress, and make adjustments to support as required.
If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment alongside colleagues who are passionate about improving outcomes for residents, the Home Independence Team could be the perfect fit for you.
About the role
As an Operations Coordinator, you will:
- Lead and manage staff across the Home Independence Team.
- Provide supervision, support and operational oversight to Deputy Coordinators.
- Coordinate referrals, reviews and support planning, ensuring services meet individual needs and quality standards.
- Manage operational resources, workforce planning, recruitment, induction and associated HR processes.
- Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, Council policies and relevant legislation.
- Monitor service performance and contribute to continuous service improvement.
- Promote independence and wellbeing, supporting residents to achieve positive outcomes.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with residents, families and partner agencies.
- Manage complaints and service concerns effectively, ensuring timely resolution.
- Deliver and evaluate training, support workforce development and promote best practice.
- Participate in the on-call rota and support seven-day service delivery where required.
You will play a key role in ensuring services are proactive, personalised and delivered in line with Buckinghamshire Council's Better Lives Framework.
About you
You'll bring:
- Significant experience working within adult social care, health services or a related setting.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
- Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- A thorough understanding of relevant legislation, including the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005.
- Experience of working collaboratively across organisations and disciplines.
- Demonstrable leadership and management experience, with the ability to lead high-performing teams, manage change and drive service improvement.
- A recognised qualification in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, or an equivalent qualification (e.g. Level 5 Leader in Adult Care).
- A commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining high standards of practice.
You will have substantial leadership and management experience within adult social care, health services, or a related setting, with a proven ability to lead teams, manage resources and deliver high-quality outcomes.
