The school is seeking to appoint a Governance Professional to support the work of the Governing Body for the benefit of the young people in its care.  This role will suit someone who believes in public service and the importance of providing a highly professional clerking service.  You will care about the education of young people and want to use your administrative, organisational and people skills to make a difference.

Salary type: Bucks Pay

Salary Details: Bucks Pay 5: 26-30 FTE £34,319 - £36,975 Actual FTE:  14 hours worked per week, 40 weeks p.a. (paid 45.8 weeks)  0.33 FTE Actual salary £11,406 – £12,289

About the role

To provide advice and guidance to the governing or trust board on governance, constitutional and procedural matters.

A professional clerk will contribute towards the efficient and effective functioning of a governing board and its committees by providing:

  • administrative and organisational support
  • guidance to ensure that the board works in compliance with the appropriate legal and regulatory framework and understands the potential consequences for non-compliance
  • advice on procedural matters relating to the operation of the board
